The Witching Hour.

There are so many nifty decorating ideas for Halloween showing up on blogs around the world, from the simple do-at-home-on-your-printer, to glue-glitter-giggles, DIY-professional-standard, and big-bucks-online-but-reusable-each-year. Here are just a few :-)

These cute little tags can be attached to goodie bags for when those trick-or-treaters come a-calling!

This would be great in the porch, dining room or backyard for your Halloween festivities. Being in the southern hemisphere, I'm even thinking Christmas this Summer, or Bollywood party!! Make several in rich pinks and sumptuous reds as well as the pumpkin orange and party on! There are some great ideas on Bollywood parties in the latest edition of  Lonny Magazine

This next item is nothing to do with Halloween, except that I think the form of these amazing lampshades is very suggestive of pumpkins - don't you?
Believe it or not, this is a DIY project and it does actually look quite do-able. The reason I sound surprised about that is it looks really professional, made out of strips of wood veneer. Check out the how-to here.

These fun decals work on walls, wood, glass and paper and can be repositioned, removed, stored and reused year after year. At US$20 I think that's pretty good value.

These spooky critters are by the fabulous pop and lolli who I am really keen to introduce you to in the next Nursery Wall post. I wasn't able to get a really great picture from the site, but if you follow the link you will be able to see how large-scale these stickers are - they create a really spooky wonderland over an entire wall. Pop and lolli use a finely-woven polyester fabric for their decals, which are eco-friendly and non-toxic, using a water-based adhesive and lead-free ink. They can be repositioned, stored and reused year after year. This complete wall set comes at US$160.

So there's a few - if you have any favourite decorating ideas, DIYs or recipes that your family love at Halloween, leave a comment and we will feature them here.

Happy Halloween Home-making!
