The New Owl.

#Sigh #
Did I mention that foxes are the new owl
Although I have also heard mention that peacocks are muscling in.
I am just loving this Etsy shop by Stacie Bloomfield - too, too cute :-)

Gingiber

Also loving these ceramics by Alyson Fox.
Ha! How could I not put these two in the same post :-))

The Tea Plate.

I came across Melody Rose  on Etsy recently and was really taken by her designs on pieces of vintage china. Afternoon Tea just got a whole lot more elegant. See more here

And these designs by James Ward of Jimbo Art are just (dare I say it?) deer!

This little lovely is from Venucci .
You really wouldn't want to put anything on this plate would you -
I can imagine it on a hallway table to collect keys and loose change, perhaps?

The fabulous Rob Ryan has a collection of plates called Four Seasons featuring his intricate drawings and poetry. See his shop here

Finally, find out what Lightly of Melbourne are doing with tea plates here!

The Pumpkin Patch.

For those of us living in the southern hemisphere and approaching Halloween as Spring unfurls her petals, it is refreshing to find a few pumpkin ideas that will enhance and complement our Vintage and fresh Spring decorating ideas.

These beauties were posted on Poppytalk recently and made my heart sing!
and are also posted on Babble, for whom Jan from Poppytalk also writes.

And although we're not really into the Trick or Treating tradition here in Oz,
how much fun are these two for a doorstep?!

Easier than carving out the flesh, methinks, and more kid-friendly too.
They have my time-saving thumbs-up.

I also recently enjoyed this post by the handmade home

Have you seen any great, fresh Spring Halloween ideas?
Let us know, we will feature them here!
